Scholarships for the Future Initiative As part of the Australian Government’s Education Revolution, the Scholarships for a Competitive Future Initiative aims to double the number of Commonwealth Scholarships from 44,000 to 88,000 by 2012. The Government proposes that the new National Priority Scholarships be offered to students undertaking undergraduate studies in nursing, teaching, medicine, dentistry, allied health, engineering and science.

Everything Health Careers Day David Floyd, Regional Industry Career Adviser Region 12 and the LCP for the region organised “Everything in Health Careers Day” in Dubbo, NSW. Around 115 students from the Orana Region of NSW attended, students travelled from as far as Brewarrina and Lightning Ridge to gain an insight into the range of careers in Health.
